In this fantastic round trip, you will experience the best Malawi has on offer! Liwonde National Park through which Lake Malawi’s outlet Shire river runs, is one of the popular national parks in the country.

The program also includes a visit to 2 of the country’s only UNESCO Heritage sites, Chongoni Rock Art area and Lake Malawi National Park where Mbuna (cichlids) are more abundant and varied here than anywhere else in the world.

Day 1: Lilongwe
Touch down at Kamuzu International Airport (Lilongwe) where you will be met and transferred to the hotel in town. Later in the evening we all meet up at the reception for a briefing on our tour.

Day 2: Chongoni Rock Art Area - Liwonde National Park
We leave Lilongwe after Breakfast with our first stop at Chongoni Rock art area which is UNESCO’s heritage site. The area has well preserved rock paintings sites belonging to 4 important and rare African Rock art traditions. There we will meet up with the area’s specialist guide who will take us around to view this unique rock art.   We continue to Dedza Pottery renowned for its finest handmade pottery for a full tour of the pottery production workshop. After lunch (on own account), we proceed to the country’s premier national park, Liwonde. Arrive in time for a late afternoon tea then enjoy an evening game drive. Overnight at Kuthengo Camp.

Day 3: Liwonde National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives will be spent traversing the many hectares of supreme and diverse vegetation in search of the elephants, hippos, crocodiles and a wonderful birdlife. Kunthengo Camp is an ideal place to unwind during the heat of the day in a relaxed ambience complemented by stunning views which are best appreciated from your private deck.

Day 4: Lake Malawi National Park
Enjoy a safari in the morning and continue with a delicious breakfast before our transfer to Lake Malawi National Park.  We leave for Pumulani Lodge our home for the last 2 nights in Malawi. The lodge is exclusively set on the west side of Nankumba Peninsula, surrounded by the national park.   Enjoy lots of water sports activities on board including snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, water skiing and fun tube rides (excluding motorized watersports).

Day 5: Lake Malawi National Park
The day is at leisure with an option of enjoying water-sport activities.

Day 6 : Transfer to Kamuzu International Airport
This brings us to the end of our Bush and Beach Voyage. Check out of the hotel and transfer to Kamuzu International Airport for your onward flight.
