Day 1 Blantyre - Chimwenya Game Park

On arrival at Chileka International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Chimwenya Game Park filled with exciting activities for all ages ranging from guided game drives to trail rides on mountain bikes, walks, birdwatching and fishing. Game Haven Lodge, an exclusive lodge where you will spend your first 2 nights in Malawi welcomes children of all ages and provides friendly staff.

Day 2 Game Haven Lodge, Chimwenya Game Park

You have a full day to explore the area take part in any of the activities on offer. During your stay you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife including Giraffes, Eland, Zebras, waterbucks, Kudu, jackal, Duiker and Nyala.

Day 3 Chimwenya Game Park – Zomba Plateau

After breakfast you are taken to Sunbird Ku Chawe Inn situated in Zomba plateau one of Malawi’s defining features; home to an array of wild vegetation and stunning views. Dinner and overnight at Ku Chawe Inn.

Day 4 Zomba Plateau – Liwonde National Park

Discover cascading waterfalls and fascinating giant butterflies during your morning tour of Zomba plateau and wind up with a horse ride at the nearby Plateau Stables. Leave Zomba for Liwonde National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at Mvuu Camp, the afternoon is at leisure at the camp. Later in the day as temperatures cool down, it is time for your late afternoon game drive that will help you spot hyenas, owls, civets, genets, and as well lions and cheetahs if you are lucky. You make your way back to the camp for Dinner and overnight. Your night in the African bush is probably the most exciting as the sounds of the bush echo around you.

Day 5 Liwonde National Park

The exciting sounds of Liwonde National Park will rouse you from your sleep. You set out on a guided walk safari to discover the intricate relationships between animals and habitats. Return to the camp for breakfast. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Shire river while on a boat safari. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or join an afternoon game experience.

Day 6 Liwonde National Park – Mumbo Island

Another fantastic morning bush walk through the park and boat safari before setting off to Mumbo Island an untouched tropical paradise which resonates the same sense of wild beauty as its arresting surroundings. Arrive in Cape Maclear in time for a boat transfer. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7 Mumbo Island

Enjoy Kayaking, snorkeling and exploring nature trails.

Day 8 Mumbo Island – Cape Maclear

Transfer from Mumbo Island to Cape Maclear on a scheduled boat for the last night along Lake Malawi. Dinner and overnight at Cape Cottages/similar

Day 9 Cape Maclear - Lilongwe

You will be woken early with an early breakfast and transfer to Lilongwe to catch your homebound flight.
